In 2022, Leiden will host the 33rd edition of the EU Contest for Young Scientists (EUCYS). Leiden welcomes 132 Bright Young Minds, selected from over 65.000 participants from all over the world. These young finalists from 33 countries will take part in the big European finale: the EU Contest for Young Scientists (EUCYS).
During the week of 13 to 18 September 2022, the city will be swamped with young international talents (14-20 years old). A week full of activities like an opening ceremony, a science fair, dinners, lunches, cultural activities, visits to leading organisations in science and many more.

School visits & visits by general public
EUCYS2022 will open her doors on September 15 & 16 2022 for students between the age of 10-18 years old. Registration for schoolvisits is closed due to many applicants. All spots have been filled.
EUCYS2022 also welcomes other interested visitors. Registation is closed due to high interest. It is no longer possible to register. All spots have been taken. It is not possible to enter the Hooglandse Kerk without registration.
