Jury

The contest jury is composed of 21 highly qualified scientists and engineers. All of the jury members have worldwide reputations in their field.
The jury members carry out their duties at the contest as independent scientific experts. They are not representative of any institution, organisation or country.
The European Commission appoints the jury annually. Its selection is based on the scientific and technological needs of the contest. The jury is selected from both academia and industry.

The EUCYS2022 jury is of the utmost importance. The jury follows the Jury Rules and Guidelines established by the European Commission. The jury members assess and score the competing projects based on the written descriptions submitted by the contestants. Interviews with the contestants carried out during the contest will also play a role in their assessment of the projects. Of course, the jury will also deliberate internally. The jury draws up the list of winners of the core prizes and the special prizes. The decision of the jury is final.
